Founded by a Pastor.
Built for Churches.
Tap.Giving exists because church giving shouldn’t come with a monthly bill.
A Simple Idea Born in the Pews
I’m a pastor. And like most pastors, I’ve watched my church’s budget get squeezed from every direction — utilities, insurance, maintenance, staff. So when it came time to explore digital giving, the last thing I wanted was another monthly subscription.
But that’s exactly what I found. Platform after platform charging $50–$200 a month — just to collect donations that were already being processed through Tithely, Subsplash, or Planning Center. I watched other churches agonize over the same decision: “Do we really add one more subscription to an already tight budget?”
Then it hit me. NFC technology is remarkably simple. A chip stores a URL. A phone reads it. That’s it. There’s no reason this needs a $100/month platform. No reason it needs a login, a dashboard, or a sales call. It just needs to work.
So I built Tap.Giving. The concept is straightforward: buy the plates once, point them at your existing giving page, and never pay another fee. Your congregation taps their phone during the offering, their giving page opens, and they give — right there in the moment, together.
The mission isn’t to replace your giving platform. It’s to give your congregation a physical, communal way to access it. Because the offering moment matters — and it shouldn’t cost your church $100 a month to keep it alive.
The Values Behind Tap.Giving
Every decision we make comes back to these principles.
Churches Shouldn’t Overpay for Simplicity
NFC is a $0.50 chip. The technology that makes tap-to-give possible is inexpensive and widely available. There’s no reason it should cost your church $100 a month. We believe the price should reflect the simplicity.
The Offering Moment Matters
Digital giving is great, but it shouldn’t kill the communal act of passing the plate. There’s something powerful about a congregation giving together in the same moment. Tap.Giving keeps both — the convenience of digital and the togetherness of the offering.
No Lock-In, Ever
Your plates work with any giving platform — Tithely, Subsplash, Planning Center, Pushpay, Givelify, or any other. Switch providers whenever you want. The plates stay the same. You’re never stuck.
Every Church Deserves This
From a 30-person church plant to a 5,000-seat megachurch, the price per plate is the same. No enterprise tiers. No “call us for a quote.” No sales calls required. Just simple, fair pricing for every church.
