Which shape goes where
Every shape holds the same chip and opens the same page. The only real question is where it is going and how much room the tap needs.

Bigger really does tap better. Read range comes from the size of the antenna coil inside the tag, not from the chip. A larger plate holds a larger coil, so a phone finds it from further away and from a sloppier angle. The practical ceiling is about a 50 mm coil, which a 4″ plate clears comfortably and a 2″ plate sits right at. If people will be tapping in passing rather than standing still, size up.
What are they made of?
Double-laminated PVC, 0.85 mm thick. Waterproof, dustproof, and thin enough to sit flush like a sticker rather than a puck, which matters on stacking chairs. Each one is printed with your church’s artwork and programmed to your giving page before it ships.
Will they work on metal?
Only with the on-metal option. NFC will not read through metal, because the phone’s field induces currents in the metal instead of powering the tag, so the tap does nothing at all. The on-metal version adds a ferrite shield behind the chip. Tell us the surface when you order and we will send the right one.
How do they attach?
3M adhesive backing as standard, or pre-drilled holes for screws. Adhesive needs a hard, smooth surface, so it holds on wood, poly and painted metal, and does not hold on upholstery. For fabric chair backs, use the screw option or move the plates to a hard surface nearby. Our church chair guide covers that decision in full.
Do we have to switch giving platforms?
No. A tap plate opens a web page, so it points at whatever you already use, Tithely, Pushpay, Givelify, Subsplash, Planning Center, a Church Center link or your own website. We sell the hardware, not the processing, and take nothing per gift.
Can we mix shapes in one order?
Yes, and most churches do: 4″ plates through the seating, a couple of large rectangles at the giving station, a handful of cards for the welcome team. Pricing is by total quantity across the order, so mixing shapes does not cost more.
