Tap.Giving
In-Person Giving, One Tap
Givebutter is a great home for your online fundraising. Add the hardware that sends people to it from the pew, with a single tap. No app.
Tap.Giving works with Givebutter. Tap.Giving sells custom NFC plates churches mount on pews and chairs. A congregant taps their phone and your Givebutter giving page opens instantly, no app or QR scan needed. Donations still process through Givebutter, so your fundraising, reporting, and donor records stay in one place. Tap.Giving is hardware only, sold once from $3.50 per plate, with no monthly or transaction fees.
How It Works With Givebutter
Tap.Giving plates are NFC-enabled cards that open any URL when tapped with a phone. Point them at your Givebutter giving page. It’s that simple.
Order Your Plates
Choose your quantity. We’ll produce custom-branded NFC plates with your church logo and a backup QR code.
Link to Givebutter
Each plate is programmed with your Givebutter giving URL. When someone taps, their phone opens your Givebutter donation page instantly.
Guests Give Instantly
Visitors tap the plate with their phone. No app download, no account creation. They give through Givebutter in under 15 seconds.
Givebutter Is Built for Online. But What About Sunday Morning?
Your campaigns, events, and donation forms live online. The people sitting in your sanctuary need a way to reach them without hunting for a link.
First-Time Visitors
First-time guests won’t go searching for your Givebutter link. A tap plate takes them directly to your giving page in one tap.
Holiday Crowds
Easter and Christmas Eve bring 2-3x your normal attendance. These guests are ready to give. They just need a frictionless way to do it.
Campaigns & Events
Running a Givebutter capital campaign or outreach event? Put a plate on every table so supporters can give the moment they feel moved to.
Why This Combo Just Works
Givebutter handles the money
Payment processing, recurring giving, donor management, campaigns, and reporting. Givebutter does all of this well. You don’t need another platform.
Tap.Giving handles the first touch
NFC tap plates bridge the physical-to-digital gap. A visitor taps, their browser opens your Givebutter page, and they give. No app. No friction.
No double-dipping on fees
Tap.Giving doesn’t charge processing fees, monthly subscriptions, or per-transaction costs. You pay once for the plates and use them forever. All payment processing stays in Givebutter.
First-time givers become recurring givers
When a guest gives through your Givebutter page via a tap plate, they’re now in your Givebutter CRM. From there, you can nurture them into a recurring donor, all within the platform you already manage.

Common Questions from Givebutter Churches
“Do I need to switch away from Givebutter?”
No. Tap.Giving plates simply open your existing Givebutter giving page. All fundraising, payment processing, and donor records stay in Givebutter. Nothing about your setup changes.
“How much is it, and are there monthly fees?”
Plates are a one-time purchase from $3.50 to $4.50 each (100-plate minimum, free shipping). No monthly fees, no setup fees, and no transaction fees from Tap.Giving. Givebutter keeps handling payment processing under its own pricing.
“How fast is setup?”
Fast. Tell us your Givebutter giving link when you order and we encode every plate before shipping. Delivery is typically 2-3 weeks from artwork approval, with rush service available for a fee. When they arrive you mount them and they work immediately, nothing to install or configure.
“Can I change the giving URL later?”
Yes. Plates ship locked for security by default, but we can ship them unlocked so you can reprogram the link with a free NFC app in seconds. If you expect to change links often, we can point every plate at a go.tap.giving redirect you control (free on 400+ plate orders, $50 a year on smaller orders). Update one link, never reprint a plate.
“Will giving still show up in Givebutter's reports?”
Yes. Because donors land directly on your Givebutter page, every gift appears in your Givebutter dashboard, reports, and donor profiles. Tap.Giving doesn’t provide its own analytics and never touches your donor data. Your reporting stays in one place inside Givebutter.
“How is this different from Givebutter's own in-person tools?”
Givebutter’s in-person options are built around staffed checkout, events, and its mobile app. Tap.Giving plates are always-on hardware you mount on every pew, chair, or wall, so anyone can give any Sunday without a volunteer, a kiosk, or a device present. You buy them once, no per-device subscription, and both point to the same Givebutter account.
