What Tap-to-Give Actually Costs in 2026
Every tap product looks affordable per unit. The difference is what you keep paying. Here is the honest math for 100 custom-branded units:

|---|---|---|---|
| Tap.Giving ✓ 4″ custom plates |
$450 one time free shipping ($405 during the 14-day first-order offer) |
None optional redirect $50/yr, free on 400+ orders |
$450 |
| Overflow Tap custom plates |
~$435 ($4.35/unit) | Monthly plan, ~$49/mo at 100 units, annual contract | ~$2,199 |
| Tithely Tap custom discs |

| ChurchTap TapDots adhesive dots |
from ~$385 (+$49 design) | $19.99/mo for full link management (free tier: 3 changes/mo) | ~$1,105 with TapPro |
All four are good products. We just don't think your hardware should need a subscription.

Pricing Questions & Answers
Are there any ongoing costs or subscriptions?
No ongoing costs with Tap.Giving! You only pay the one-time hardware cost. Any processing fees come from your chosen giving platform (Tithely, Subsplash, etc.).
How much does Overflow Tap cost?
Overflow's shop lists Standard Tap Plates at $2.00 per unit and Custom Tap Plates at $4.35 per unit, plus a required monthly plan (from about $29/month, sold on an annual contract). For 100 custom plates that is roughly $1,000 in the first year. Tap.Giving custom plates are $4.50 or less per plate, one time, with no required plan.
How much does Tithely Tap cost?
Tithely Tap discs are $2.50 each standard or $4.00 each custom, plus shipping, with a 250-disc minimum for custom designs. There is no extra monthly fee, but the discs only work with Tithely Giving, so Tithely's platform fees apply to every gift and the hardware cannot move with you if you change platforms. Tap.Giving plates work with any giving platform, including Tithely.
How much do Clearstream Tap Tags cost?
Clearstream's tap tags are $1 each standard or $2 each custom, sold in 50-packs, and require a $20/month Clearstream plan, about $240 per year ongoing. The tags are small stickers rather than 4-inch plates.
How much does ChurchTap cost?
ChurchTap TapDots start around $385 per 100 dots depending on size, with design service available for $49. Managing where dots point uses their TapPro dashboard: free for up to 3 link changes a month, or $19.99/month for full management. Tap.Giving's redirect equivalent is $50 a year, or free on orders of 400 or more plates.
What's the minimum order quantity?
Minimum order is 100 plates. The goal is a plate within arm's reach, usually one per seat. There is no maximum order quantity.
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically arrive within 2-3 weeks of artwork approval. Rush service is available upon request for an additional fee.
Can I customize the plates with our church logo?
Yes. Custom branding is included with every package, and your editable design proof opens instantly. Final production artwork still requires your approval before printing.
What if I need to order more plates later?
Additional plates can be ordered anytime. We keep your branding design on file for easy reordering.
Do you offer any guarantees?
Yes. Every order includes a 30-day money-back guarantee.
How do people know to tap their phone on the plate?
Each plate comes with clear instructions and a QR code backup. Most people are familiar with NFC technology from contactless payments. We also provide instructional materials for your congregation.
What if someone doesn't have NFC on their phone?
Every plate includes a QR code that works with any smartphone camera. This ensures 100% compatibility across all devices with a camera, regardless of NFC capability.
How long does it take to set up?
Setup takes just 5-10 minutes. We provide step-by-step instructions and configure everything to work with your existing giving platform before shipping.
Do the plates need to be charged or plugged in?
No! The plates are completely passive NFC devices that require no power, charging, or maintenance. Simply place them in your pews and they're ready to go.
What if we don't have an online giving page yet?
No problem. The plates just need a URL to point to, so if your church doesn't have a giving or landing page set up yet, the simplest path is to create a free one and point your plates there. Two we often recommend are Linktree and the Nucleus Church Launcher. Because you control that page, you can change where it sends people anytime without reprinting your plates.
