Tap.Giving Hardware
One tap, any shape.
Tap.Giving makes NFC tap-to-give discs for churches in eight shapes and sizes. For most churches the best choice is our 4″ disc, round or square, on the pew and chair backs: $3.50 to $5 a disc, no monthly fees. Every one opens your giving page with a tap, no app needed, so the only choice is the shape that fits where you want it.

🛡️ Built to last
Specially selected PVC, laminated for strength. A solid 0.85mm thickness, waterproof, dustproof, and built to withstand daily wear.
PVC · 0.85mm · waterproof🧲 Optional on-metal backing
Add a ferrite shield layer so it taps reliably even on metal surfaces, like metal chair backs, railings, and fixtures.

Stands & lanyard badges
The same chip and the same giving page, in two more forms: a stand that sits on the table, and a badge your welcome team can wear.
Table Stands
2.8 × 3.9 in (70 × 100 mm) · 4.7 × 5.5 in (120 × 140 mm)
Medium $7 each · Large $9 each · Minimum 100
A freestanding PVC stand for welcome desks, giving stations and lobby tables. It ships flat and bends into shape in seconds, no tools or hardware. Printed with your artwork, custom printing included, and programmed to your giving page just like our discs.
Lanyard Badges
3.5 × 5.1 in (90 × 130 mm)
$5.00 each · Minimum 100 · String not included
A PVC badge with a laminated finish and a slot at the top for your own lanyard strap or clip. Printed with your artwork and programmed to your giving page, so greeters and welcome-team members carry a tap point with them.
Where will people tap?
Start with the surface, not the shape. The surface decides the size and the mounting.
Wooden pews or hard chair backs
4″ circle or square, 3M adhesive backing
The standard setup. The adhesive is already on the back of every disc, so it is peel and press onto a clean, smooth surface. No tools, nothing to drill.
Upholstered or fabric chair backs
4″ with pre-drilled screw holes
We recommend screws here, at no extra cost. On fabric, tape grips the surface fibers rather than the panel behind them, and a padded back flexes against the bond. Discs with holes still ship with the adhesive on, so you can try tape and keep screws as the backup.
Metal chairs, railings or fixtures
Any size, add anti-metal shielding
On metal surfaces these discs need the $1/disc anti-metal shielding add-on for a reliable read — a shielding layer laminated behind the chip. It is charged only on the discs that actually go on metal.
Welcome desk, entry table or giving station
3″ circle or square, or the large rectangle
Where people walk up and stand still. The large rectangle has room for a short instruction line. This is also the right answer when your seating takes neither tape nor screws.
Bulletins, connect cards and handouts
Credit-card size rectangle
Fits a wallet, a name badge or a giving envelope. The one to hand somebody rather than mount.
Tight spots
2″ circle or square
Hymnal racks, cup holders, the edge of a chair frame. The smallest antenna, so use it where people are close and tapping on purpose.
Bigger really does tap better. Read range comes from the size of the antenna coil inside the tag, not from the chip. A larger disc holds a larger coil, so a phone finds it from further away and from a sloppier angle. The practical ceiling is about a 50 mm coil, which a 4″ disc clears comfortably and a 2″ disc sits right at. If people will be tapping in passing rather than standing still, size up.

Common questions
What are they made of?
Double-laminated PVC, 0.85 mm thick. Waterproof, dustproof, and thin enough to sit flush like a sticker rather than a puck, which matters on stacking chairs. Each one is printed with your church’s artwork and programmed to your giving page before it ships.
Will they work on metal?
Only with the on-metal option. On metal surfaces these discs need the $1/disc anti-metal shielding add-on for a reliable read, because the phone’s field otherwise induces currents in the metal instead of powering the tag. The add-on adds a ferrite shield behind the chip, charged only on the discs that go on metal. Tell us the surface when you order and we will send the right one.
How do they attach?
Every disc has 3M adhesive on the back, and pre-drilled screw holes are available at no extra cost. On wood, hard plastic and other smooth surfaces, the adhesive is all you need. For upholstered or fabric chair backs we recommend the screw holes: tape on fabric grips the surface fibers rather than the panel behind them, and removing it later can lift fibers. Discs with holes keep their adhesive, so you can try both. Our church chair guide covers that decision in full.
Can someone change where our disc points?
Not by tapping it. Discs ship locked by default, so the link written to the chip cannot be overwritten. If you would rather be able to rewrite it yourself later, ask for unlocked discs when you order.
How much do they cost?
$5 a disc for 100 to 199, $4 for 200 to 399, and $3.50 for 400 or more, with a 100-disc minimum. Shipping is free, your first order gets 10% off the discs, and there are no monthly fees. Every order has a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Do we have to switch giving platforms?
No. A tap disc opens a web page, so it points at whatever you already use, Tithely, Pushpay, Givelify, Subsplash, Planning Center, a Church Center link or your own website. We sell the hardware, not the processing, and take nothing per gift.
Can we mix shapes in one order?
Yes, and many churches do: 4″ discs through the seating, a couple of large rectangles at the giving station, a handful of cards for the welcome team. Tell us the mix and we will quote it as one order.
Which size should we choose?
4-inch discs for pew and chair backs, 3-inch for desks and lecterns, 2-inch for tight spots, the card size for handing out, and the large rectangle for a giving station sign.
Do you sell stands or wearable badges?
Yes. Table stands (70 × 100 mm at $7, 120 × 140 mm at $9, minimum 100, custom printing included) for welcome desks and giving stations, and lanyard badges (90 × 130 mm, $5 each, minimum 100, string not included) that your welcome team can wear. Both carry the same chip as our discs and open your giving page with a tap.
Not sure which shape fits?
Tell us where you want people to tap, a pew back, a welcome desk, a wallet card, and we will help you pick the right one.
